The petitioner, who is the husband of the complainant/opposite party No. 2, seeks bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 834C of 2018, in which, cognizance has been taken against him for the offences under Sections 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.25891 of 2020(2) dt.12-10-2020 2/2 Earlier when the petitioner had come up before this Court for grant of anticipatory bail, the matter was sent to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of the Patna High Court. However, the mediation failed and the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail was rejected.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, which is from 09.01.2020, this Court directs that the petitioner above-named be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Araria in connection with Complaint Case No. 834C of 2018. The application stands allowed.
