The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Ujiarpur P. S. Case No. 157 of 2016 registered under Section 304-B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the fact that the petitioner is also alleged to have demanded dowry and subjected the victim to cruelty soon before the death, I am not inclined to grant him pre-arrest bail. Accordingly, his prayer for grant of pre-arrest bail is rejected.

However, in case the petitioner surrenders and seeks bail, the same shall be considered on its own merit
