The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. C1-692 of 2016, registered under Section 498A/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on the joint prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner and the opposite party no. 2, the matter was referred to the Mediation Centre, Patna High Court, where both parties appeared and settled their dispute deciding to live separately and accordingly, petitioner paid Rs.40,000/- to the complainant-opposite party no. 2, which would

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, let the above named petitioner be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the S.D.J.M., Sitamarhi, in connection with Complaint Case No. C1-692 of 2016, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C.
