Public Prosecutor.

The sole petitioner, who is in custody only since 06.08.2016 in G.O. Case No.11 of 2016 arising out of Laheriasarai P.S. ase No.372 of 2016 registered for the offence under Sections 188/290/120(B) of the Indian Penal Code, Section 28(a)/29(b) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and also Sections 20 and 22 of the N.D.P.S. Act, has prayed for grant of bail.

It was submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner was apprehended on allegation that he was trying to throw some ganja wrapped in paper inside the jail

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.42344 of 2016 (2) dt.08-12-2016 premises. However, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor opposing the prayer for bail of the petitioner submits that not only Ganja, from the possession of the petitioner, other psychotropic substances was also recovered.

Considering the seriousness of accusation against the petitioner, there is no reason to extend the privilege of bail. The petition stands dismissed.
