The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to dispose of his mutation case with respect to the lands in question in his favour. In the present case, a counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent authorities and in paragraph 7 of the aforesaid counter affidavit it has been stated that the mutation case filed by the petitioner giving rise to Case no.907/5 of the year 2012-13 has already been disposed of by the Circle Officer, Phulwarisharif, Patna by the order dated 16.08.2012 and the prayer for mutation of the petitioner has been rejected. The aforesaid order has been brought on record as Annexure-C to the aforesaid counter affidavit.

In above view of the matter, the present writ petition has become infructuous and is, accordingly, dismissed. However, the petitioner, if so advised, shall be at
