The petitioner filed this petition for modification of the order dated 17.09.2016 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 39608 of 2016 and to extend the period of surrender of the petitioner in the court below.

The petitioner was granted anticipatory bail vide order dated 17.09.2016 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 39608 of 2016 but the petitioner did not surrender in the court below within four weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of the aforesaid order. It is submitted that the petitioner is a menial labour working in Punjab and did not get reservation and therefore he did not surrender in court within time.

Considering the fact that the petitioner was granted

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.53612 of 2016 (2) dt.25-01-2017 2/2 anticipatory bail on 17.09.2016, the period of surrender of the petitioner is extended for three weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order.
