Petitioner seeks bail in G.O. Case No.277 of 2018, C.I.S. No.877 of 2018, registered under Sections 30(a) and 56(6) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. Petitioner was apprehended along with the driver of Wagon (R) car in which the petitioner was carrying 269 liters of foreign liquor.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is neither the owner nor the driver of the vehicle. Petitioner was simple an occupant of the vehicle and he is in jail for about four months.

No.73718 of 2018(2) dt.12-12-2018 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and the fact that the petitioner is in jail for about four months and he has got no criminal antecedent, petitioner, above named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.D.J.-IInd-cum-Special Judge, Nawada in connection with G.O. Case No.277 of 2018, C.I.S. No.877 of 2018.
