For the Appellant/s : Mr. Amrendra Kumar For the Respondent/s : Mr. Sc22-Kundan Bahadur Singh For the State : Md. Anwar Karim, AC to GP-10 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE and HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) 29-06-2017 Even though, the petitioner/appellant should be right in contending that in view of the judgment rendered by a Bench of this Court in the case of Ranjeet Kumar Vs. State of Bihar and another reported in 2007(3) PLJR 746 and orders passed in the year 2008 by this Court in C.W.J.C. No. 3974 of 2008 and others dated 16.5.2008 qualification of intermediate vocational courses

Patna High Court LPA No.1619 of 2014 (6) dt.29-06-2017 2/2 should be treated as equivalent to a degree in intermediate for appointment to the post in question. But the facts remains that the petitioner participated in the selection process conducted in the year 2006 and at that time he was not selected and his degree was not approved for granting selection. However, now in the year 2012 the rules for appointment has further undergone a change and passing of the teacher training examination has become mandatory requirement for appointment to the post in question. That being so, now as the petitioner without passing the mandatory preliminary test and merely on the basis of some vocational course in the year 2006 cannot be granted any for appointment to the post in question. Therefore, we are not inclined to interfere with the impugned order.

This appeal stands dismissed.
