2. In this case, the petitioner is seeking a direction upon the respondent authorities to release him from the custody since he has completed 15 years of custody and has been convicted under Sections 396/397 of the Indian Penal Code and has been sentenced for life imprisonment.

3. Learned counsel for the State submits that the documents of the petitioner have been received for remission and the same shall be considered in the next meeting of the

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.552 of 2022(4) dt.29-04-2025 2/2 Remission Board.

4. In view of the above, this application is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner that in case he is not satisfied with the decision of the Remission Board, he may approach this Court again.
