The Petitioner apprehends his arrest in G.O. Case No. 596 of 2015 registered for the offence punishable under Section 47(a) of the Excise Act.

It has been alleged that when the raid was conducted in a field situated South of Village-Mahadeva, 10 litres of illicit Mahua wine kept in a white coloured jar was seized along with a plastic Mug and five glasses.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is in custody since, 22.03.2017 and has got no criminal antecedent.
