The present petition has been filed seeking the following relief :- "(i) For issuance of appropriate writ/ writs, order/ orders, direction/ directions for directing the respondent authority specially the respondent no.2 to 3 to grant promotion to the petitioner on the post of Additional Superintendent of Police w.e.f. due date and on that date the petitioner was full entitled for his promotion from the post of Deputy Superintendent of police on the ground that earlier promotion granted to the petitioner on 06.08.2009 was amended with effect from

Patna High Court CWJC No.17088 of 2015(2) dt.15-09-2023 2/2 06.07.2004 on the post of Dy.S.P. as a result if the petitioner was granted promotion in the year 2004 then the petitioner is entitled for his promotion on the post of Additional Superintendent of Police and the petitioner is entitled for other consequential benefits also. (ii) For directing the respondent authorities to pay to the petitioner the arrears of difference amount which will be difference amount of pay scale of the Additional Superintendent of Police and pay scale of Deputy Superintendent of Police and differences of amount (pay scale) between Inspector of Police and Deputy Superintendent of Police. "

Considering the nature of relief sought for in the present writ petition, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the respondent authorities for redressal of his subsisting grievances, if any.
