The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in connection with Kumarkhand P.S. Case No. 84 of 2013 registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 324, 307, 302 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is named in the FIR. According to the prosecution case, the petitioner along with others caught hold of son of the informant namely, Matiur Rahman and, thereafter, the co-accused Rasool Mian and Md. Jabbar Mian assaulted him with dabiya and fersa respectively as a result of which, he died.
Regard being had to the serious nature of allegation,
