JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH) 19-08-2025 We find from the records that a letter dated 27.07.2025 has been sent by the Superintendent of Police, Katihar to this Court, wherein he has written that the appellants of the present appeal, namely, Raj Kumar alias Ram Pukar Paswan alias Raj Kumar Paswan and Gopal Paswan, have died about five years and eight years back respectively and, in proof thereof, a certificate issued by the Nigam Parshad, Ward No.08, Nagar Nigam, Katihar dated 26.07.2025, has been annexed in which the said Ward Parshad, namely, Nisha Kulkarni has stated that the appellant no.1 has died about five years back, while appellant no.2 has died about eight years back.

2. We do not have any reason to doubt the aforesaid

Patna High Court CR. APP (DB) No.156 of 2000(5) dt.19-08-2025 2/2 factum of death of the appellants aforesaid, hence the Criminal Appeal (DB) No.156 of 2000 stands abated.
