Having regard to the nature of allegation for offence under Sections 353, 332, 307, 379, 511 of the Indian Penal Code and the fact that the petitioner has not only been made named with an allegation of assaulting on the police party with others but also the petitioner has criminal antecedent, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

That being so, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner, namely, Pankaj Mandal @ Pankaj Kumar is rejected but, then, nothing said in this order shall come in the way of the petitioner in surrendering and making a prayer for regular bail which shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced by anything said in this order.
