The petitioner is accused in connection with Gaurichak P.S. Case No. 200 of 2016, registered under Sections 386, 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The accusation is that on receiving secret information regarding checking of the vehicle by fake District Transport Officer, the informant along with other Police personnel of Gaurichak P.S. reached at Patna-Gaya road in front of NTPC building then found that some persons, denoting themselves as Officers and officials of District Transport Office, were engaged in checking the vehicles. Thereafter, six persons were apprehended on the spot. On search, identity card of DTO, Mobile, Laptop, file of Akash Pollution Checking Centre and motorcycle etc. were recovered from the possession of the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.1615 of 2017 (2) dt.18-01-2017 2/2 apprehended persons. One paper was also found regarding inspection of pollution of the vehicle on which the name of landlord mentioned as Ranjeet Singh (petitioner). Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not apprehended by the Police on the spot rather his name surfaced as owner of the house in which Bihar Vehicle Pollution Centre is said to be run. Further submission is that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and similarly situated co-accused, Sunny Kumar has already been granted privilege of bail by this Court vide order dated 13.12.2016 passed in Criminal Misc. 52503 of 2016. The petitioner is in custody since 27.09.2016.

Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Patna in connection with Gaurichak P.S. Case No.200 of 2016. Out of two sureties, one surety must be the parents/close relative of the petitioner, who will file an affidavit showing his relation with the petitioner.
