Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Ujiarpur P.S. Case No. 33 of 2022 lodged under Sections 25(1B)(a), 26, 35 of the Arms Act. As per the allegation made in the F.I.R., the recovery of one country made pistol and two live cartridges were made from the possession of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody since 24.01.2022, charge sheet has already been filed but having five criminal cases pending against him.

In the present facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at present but he may renew his prayer after completion of 12 months from the date of his custody before the trial court and the trial court shall release him on bail in this case. In the meantime, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude within one year.
