Learned counsel for the State accepts notice for the respondent nos. 1 to 6.

Learned counsel for the State is hereby directed to serve copy of the petition to learned counsel for the State, if it is not already served.

In the instant petition, petitioner has prayed for the following relief/reliefs:

"I. To issue a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground on any suitable vacant post due to death of his father

Patna High Court CWJC No.10153 of 2021 dt.23-02-2022 2/3 working on the post of Home Guard Constable bearing No. 3952 under the Commanding Office of Commandant, Home Guard, Gopalganj.

II. To issue an appropriate writ to issue a direction to provide protection to the suffering family of deceased employee by way of appointing the petitioner on compassionate grounds.

III. To restrain the respondent from harassing the petitioner who are delaying in consideration of the grievance of petitioner.

IV. To grant any other reliefs for which the petitioner is entitled to have."

Petitioner's father died while he was in service on 01.01.2021. Petitioner submitted application for compassionate appointment on 17.02.2021. Due to inaction on the part of the respondents, petitioner has presented this petition. Respondent No.2 is hereby directed to examine the petitioner's grievance

Patna High Court CWJC No.10153 of 2021 dt.23-02-2022 3/3 and redress within two months from the date of receipt of this order. Respondent No.2 is also hereby directed to apprise the object of providing compassionate appointment is to meet immediate harness in the family. If belated compassionate appointment is given, in that event, the very object of providing compassionate appointment would be defeated.

With the above observation, writ petition stands disposed of.
