The petitioner is in custody in connection with Palasi P. S. Case No. 288 of 2018 for the offenses under Sections 461 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that petitioner has no criminal antecedent. The petitioner is in custody since 12.10.2018. The name of the petitioner surfaced on the confessional statement of the co-accused. Co-accused Ahraj, who has stated before the police that he sold six mobiles to this petitioner as he runs a mobile shop.

Considering the fact that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent and allegation against this petitioner is that he has purchased the stolen mobiles for which he has remained
