Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. Allegation against the petitioner is that he ravished the informant. Petitioner is in custody since 28.01.2018. Report of the Trial Court would reveal that the case is at the stage of prosecution evidence and the trial is likely to be concluded within six months. Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with Amadabad P.S. Case No. 19 of 2018 pending in the court of learned 1st Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Katihar.

Hence, his prayer for bail is refused.
