1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner in this application prays for grant of anticipatory bail apprehending his arrest in connection with Complaint Case no. C-2117 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under sections 498A, 504, 506, 323 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner was married to the opposite party no.2 on 28.11.2022. It is stated that soon after the marriage the accused persons started to make demand of dowry by way of a Bullet motorcycle etc. and on nonfulfilment of the same the opposite party no.2 was abused

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21691 of 2025(3) dt.10-09-2025 2/3 and assaulted. Specific allegations have been levelled against the mother-in-law and sister-in-law of the opposite party no.2 besides there being general allegations against all. The father of the opposite party no.2 was also assaulted. As such the instant case.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case only for the reason that he happens to be the husband of the opposite party no.2. The allegations levelled in the complaint are all false and concocted. The petitioner has always been ready to settle the disputes which are trivial in nature and to live peacefully with the complainant. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and undertakes to cooperate in the investigation/trial.

5. The application for bail is opposed by learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegations against the petitioner in the complaint, no injury report having been brought on record and specially the petitioner not having any criminal antecedent, it is directed that the petitioner above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks, be released on anticipatory bail in

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21691 of 2025(3) dt.10-09-2025 3/3 connection with Complaint Case no. C-2117 of 2023 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari.
