Having regard to the fact that the petitioner despite being named accused for the offences punishable under Sections-341, 323, 406 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code and Section-3(1)(x)(xi) of the SC/ST Act has been happily absconding for a period of over ten years and that he has also criminal antecedent being an accused for the offence punishable under Sections302/34 of the Indian Penal Code, this court is not inclined to grant him the privilege of anticipatory bail. That being so, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner Ramesh Singh is hereby rejected.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.47068 of 2014 (2) dt.30-04-2015 Nothing said in this order, however, will come in the way of the petitioner in surrendering before the Court below and praying for regular bail.
