1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That the instant application is being filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus commanding/directing the respondent authorities to make payment of the arrear of salary incurred due to increase of salary by way of implementation of the order of Fifth Pay Commission from 01.01.1986 up to 31.01.1987 with statutory interest permissible as per law and further for a direction to the respondents to pay the panel interest at the

Patna High Court CWJC No.15995 of 2015(2) dt.08-09-2023 2/2 rate of 18% per annum for such a long delay in payment on the aforesaid amount of arrear since 31.01.1987 to the date of actual payment."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner/his legal heirs to approach the Collector, Lakhisarai for redressal of the aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. It is needless to state that in case, appropriate representation is made before the Collector, Lakhisarai, within a period of four weeks from today, appropriate decision shall be taken thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

4. The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
