1. No one appears for the petitioners. Learned counsel for the respondents is present.

2. The petitioners have filed the instant application for the following relief(s):- "1. That by this writ application the petitioners seeks indulgence of this Hon'ble court for issuance of an appropriate writ/writs, direction/directions or order/orders for quashing the order passed by Zila Appellate Court, Katihar Sri Radha Raman Jha, Zila Appeliya Pradhikar, Katihar in Appeal case no. 15 of

Patna High Court CWJC No.16918 of 2015(3) dt.08-02-2024 2/3 2014 dated 20.06.2015.

A Photocopy of Order passed by Zila Appellate Court, Katihar dated 20.6.2015 is being annexed herewith and marked as Annexure-1 to this writ petition."

3. From the contents of the writ application, it transpires that the matter relates to appointment of block teachers in Block Manihari in the District of Katihar. As per the Teachers Appointment Rules of the year 2008, by order dated 31.5.2009, the petitioners were directed to appear for counselling. It is the case of the petitioners that they appeared for counselling along with their original documents and also signed on the counselling register. Not having been appointed, the petitioners moved the District Appellate Authority, Katihar in appeal which was registered as Appeal Case no. 15 of 2014.

4. After considering the submissions made, the Presiding officer of the District Appellate Authority by his order dated 20.6.2015 (Annexure-1) impugned herein was pleased to reject the appeal filed by the petitioners on the ground of delay stating therein that it was after 5 years that the order dated 31.5.2009 had been challenged.

5. Heard learned counsel for the respondents and having perused the materials on record and specially the

Patna High Court CWJC No.16918 of 2015(3) dt.08-02-2024 3/3 contents of the order impugned dated 20.6.2015, the Court finds no illegality in the same.

6. There being no merit in the writ application and the same is dismissed.
