2. With the consent of the parties, this writ application is disposed of at this stage itself.

3. In the present writ application, the petitioners have prayed for grant of following reliefs:

"(i) For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction, particularly in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to make payment of the arrears of salary for period of 17 days from 15.12.2023 to 31.12.2023 which has been illegally with held despite the petitioners being on duty.

(ii) For issuance of an direction to pay interest at the rate of 18% per annum or any other salary interest this Hon'ble Court deem fit on the delayed payment from the date of the salary became due untill the date of payment.

(iii) For grant of any other reliefs to which the petitioners is found entitled in the eye of law."

While advancing argument, learned counsel for the petitioners submit that for seeking the aforesaid reliefs the petitioners have already filed a representation dated 22.08.2025 (Annexure- P/3) before the Secretary, Science Technology and Technical Education Department, New Secretariat, Patna (respondent no. 2), which is still pending. He, therefore, submits that the petitioners would be satisfied if an appropriate direction could be issued to respondent no.2 to dispose of the

3/4 pending representation of the petitioners within a fixed timeframe, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

5. To the aforesaid submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel, appearing for the respondent-State, does not have any objection.

Considering the limited nature of the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, this writ application is disposed of, directing the Secretary, Science Technology and Technical Education Department, New Secretariat, Patna (respondent no. 2) to dispose of the pending representation of the petitioners within three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners.

7. Needless to emphasize that the final order, which shall be passed by respondent no.2, should be a reasoned and speaking order, and in case the petitioners are found entitled to the reliefs, which the petitioners have claimed through the pending representation, the same should be extended/given to the petitioners within a further period of four weeks from the date of passing of the final order by respondent no.2.

8. With the aforesaid observation/direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
