The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 307 and 393 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act. As per the prosecution case, it is stated by the informant that two persons on a motorcycle overtook the vehicle of the informant and signalled him to stop. On an attempt by the informant to escape, one of the accused resorted to firing upon him.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the FIR was registered against unknown. The name of the petitioner transpired in the confessional statement of co-accused Ujwal Kumar made before police. No incriminating article has been recovered from the petitioner's possession who is in
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23569 of 2022(3) dt.12-01-2023 2/2 custody since 30.1.2022 and chargesheet has been submitted in the case.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the material that has transpired in course of investigation, the petitioner being in custody since 30.1.2022 and chargesheet having been submitted in the case, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in connection with Dhaka (Pachpakri) P.S. Case no. 299 of 2018 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Dhaka at Motihari (Partha Sarthy, J) Spd/- U T
