JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 23-09-2020 Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. The petitioner is in custody in connection with Sessions Trial No. 280 of 2016 arising out of Jamui P.S. Case No. 154 of 2013 for the offences under Sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

In this case report was called for from the court of Additional District & Sessions Judge II, Jamui as to the stage of trial. By letter dated 8th September, 2020, the Presiding Officer informed the Court that hearing on day-to-day basis has commenced on 07.09.2020. Earlier defence argument was concluded and certain point of law was raised by the parties and sometime consumed also due to the reason that there was irregular proceeding on account of the pandemic situation as

Considering the report vide letter dated 08.09.2020, the application for bail is disposed of with a direction to the trial court to conclude the trial within four months from today, failing which the trial court shall release the petitioner on bail on appropriate terms and conditions. He is also required to submit a report with regard to failure in concluding trial to the Registrar (Vigilance) of this Court.
