In this case, the petitioner has raised the grievance that she has not been appointed to the post of Trained Teacher in the Zila Parishad, Nawadah and wrongly been deprived of her appointment. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has cleared STET Examination with higher marks but she has wrongly been deprived of her appointment to the post of Trained Teacher.

It appears that the petitioner has applied for the post

Patna High Court CWJC No.5402 of 2013 (4) dt.20-01-2016 2/2 of teacher in English subject. After the preparation of the merit list, her name is there at Sl. No. 696 and an entry has been made that she has not cleared STET Examination in English subject and that was the reason for non-consideration of the case of the petitioner. The rule provides that if a candidate wants to get appointment as a teacher in a particular subject, he will have to clear the STET Examination in that subject and only then, his/her case will be considered for the appointment as a Trained Teacher. In the present case, the petitioner while clearing STET Examination has not taken English subject; as such, she cannot be appointed for teaching English subject as a Trained Teacher. In such view of the matter, this Court does not find any error in the decision of the Zila Parishad.

Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
