The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Complaint Case No. 974 of 2015 registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

The complainant alleged that she was married with the petitioner on 21.12.2012 and went to her matrimonial home but her husband and others began to demand motorcycle and Rs. 1 lakh. On account of non-fulfillment of additional demand of dowry she was driven out from her matrimonial home. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to keep his wife but the learned counsel for the complainant submits that the petitioner has already solemnized second marriage.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.13746 of 2017 (4) dt.23-06-2017 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid and the nature of allegations made against the petitioner and the facts that the petitioner has already solemnized second marriage, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above named on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
