2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

3. As per prosecution case, 887.610 litres illicit foreign liquor was recovered from a pickup van.

4. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is quite innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case merely on suspicion. Petitioner is neither owner nor driver of the vehicle in question and has got no concern with the seized illicit liquor. Petitioner is in custody since 08.03.2025.

5. On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21695 of 2025(2) dt.02-05-2025 2/2 vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner.

6. Considering the nature of accusation and period of custody, the prayer for grant bail of to the petitioner is allowed.

7. Accordingly, let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Exclusive Special Judge Excise-1, Samastipur in connection with Hasanpur P.S. Case No. 129 of 2024.
