The grievance of the petitioner is confined to the limited extent that, despite repeated requests, the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree/Certificate pertaining to the academic session 1988-1989 has not been issued to him till date. The petitioner states that he pursued his B.A. (Honours) course from A.N.S. College, Barh, a constituent/unit college of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, and successfully passed the said examination conducted by the University, securing Second Division.

3. Learned Advocate appearing for the Magadh University, having regard to the nature of the petitioner's

Patna High Court CWJC No.5468 of 2026(2) dt.24-07-2026 2/2 grievance, prays for a short adjournment to obtain necessary instructions and apprise this Court of the present status of the matter.

4. Having considered the limited nature of the relief sought, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending. The grievance of the petitioner primarily requires consideration by the Controller of Examination, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, who is the competent authority to verify the relevant records and take an appropriate decision regarding the issuance of the petitioner's B.A. (Honours) Degree/Certificate. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Controller of Examination, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, to examine the grievance of the petitioner and, upon due verification of the relevant records, issue the petitioner's B.A. (Honours) Degree/Certificate, if the petitioner is otherwise found entitled thereto and there exists no legal or administrative impediment, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
