JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 04/ 09-08-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. J.N. Thakur, learned counsel for the State. The petitioner being the mother of the husband of the informant has renewed the prayer for bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 326A, 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.
The prosecution case is that on 31.12.2015, the petitioner and husband of the informant poured Acid on the head of the informant for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand of rupees two lakhs.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.38897 of 2016 (4) dt.09-08-2017 2/2 petitioner that the petitioner is a lady languishing in custody since 13.01.2016.
Mr. J.N. Thakur, learned counsel for the State produced the report of Superintendent of Police, Khagaria reflecting that the prosecution evidence has been closed. The prosecution has also concluded its argument and arguments have also been partially made by the defence side. Considering the advance stage of the trial, this Court is not inclined to revise the earlier order. It is expected from learned Sessions Judge, Khagaria to conclude the trial of Sessions Trial No. 232 of 2016, arising out of Parbatta (Bharatkhand) P.S. Case No. 03 of 2016, within a period of two months.
