JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 10-01-2017 The grievance of the petitioner is that the voter list pertaining to Booth No. 73 and 74 of Dakshinwari Chakky Prabhunathnagar Panchayat under Revilganj Block of Chapra Assembly Constituency are the voters of under Nagar Panchayat Rehilganj as well, which is illegal as a person cannot be voter in two voters list.

The elections on the basis of the existing voter list stands completed. The remedy of the aggrieved persons in respect of elections already conducted is by way of an election petition.

Patna High Court CWJC No.16701 of 2015 dt.10-01-2017 2/2 However, in respect of correction of voter list for subsequent elections, the matter has been brought to the notice of State Election Commission by way of the present writ application. Therefore, the State Election Commission shall take remedial steps as is permissible in accordance with law.
