The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1) That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ(s), order(s) for quashing of the order contained in Memo no.670 dated 30.10.2023 passed and issued under the signature of Respondent no.2 whereby and whereunder the Arms license of the petitioner bearing license no.06/2017 for .315 Bore rifle has been suspended and petitioner has been directed to deposit the arms in Malkhana of police station and further an explanation has been sought for, within a week as to why license be not cancelled under section 17(3) of the Arms Act, 1959.

And during pendency of this application may stay the operation of the impugned order contained in Memo

Patna High Court CWJC No.5564 of 2024(2) dt.27-06-2024 2/2 no.670 dated 30.10.2023 (annexure-P/1) to this application.

And further for a direction to the respondent no.1 to 3 to take action against the Respondent no.4." 2.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the order dated 30.10.2023, passed by the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra by filing appropriate appeal. Liberty so sought is granted.

It is needless to state that in case appropriate appeal is filed, within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be considered by the Appellate Authority on merits without being impeded by the issue of limitation. 4.

The present writ application stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
