JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 01-05-2025 Heard Mr. Gopal Swaroop Dubey, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Pramod Kumar Pandey, learned APP appearing on behalf of the State.

2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a complaint case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 406 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per prosecution case, it is alleged that this petitioner fraudulently withdrew the compensation amount of the complainant from account of Gramin Bank.

4. Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in a complaint case which was registered in the year 2008 and there is no plausible explanation as to why petitioner moved this Court for

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24285 of 2025(2) dt.01-05-2025 2/2 grant of pre-arrest bail after lapse of more than 17 years. The present application is highly belated and it appears that the petitioner has got no reasonable apprehension of his arrest in the case.

5. Considering the gross unexplained delay in moving this pre-arrest bail application, prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner is rejected.
