This is an application seeking quashing of the F.I.R. bearing Kahalgaon (Ghogha) P. S. Case No. 267 of 2011 dated 22.07.2011 instituted for the offences under Sections 366(A) and 349 of the Indian Penal Code.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has informed this Court that the trial in this case has begun but there is no substantial progress in the trial.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.26703 of 2016(2) dt.15-09-2020 2/2 However, taking into account the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to accede to the prayer of the petitioner for quashing of the subject F.I.R. The prayer is rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to expedite and conclude the trial, preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The petition stands disposed off.
