Mr. Ajay Kumar-1 ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 04-02-2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.
This is an application for grant of regular bail filed on behalf of the petitioner. Petitioner is in custody in connection with Madanpur PS Case No. 47 of 2018 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 8/20(b)(ii)(c)/25/29 of the NDPS Act. Allegation in the instant case is that 53 kgs. of ganja was recovered. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 23.02.2018.
Considering the fact that prayer for bail on behalf of the petitioner has earlier been rejected by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court, the Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Prayer for bail is therefore rejected.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.486 of 2019(2) dt.04-02-2019 2/2 However, the trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the case and conclude the same within a period of six months from today.
