The petitioner apprehends arrest in a case under section 498-A, 307 and other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code and section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Later on Section 304(B) of the Indian Penal Code was added. The deceased herself made statement before the police before her death that the petitioner mother-in-law and her father-in-law Pradeep Ram caught her hand and her husband Lalit Ram sprinkled K. Oil and set her ablaze.

It is submitted that the brother of the deceased compromised the case and filed a petition stating therein that his sister got burn injury while cooking food.

Having considered that the victim deceased

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.51250 of 2014 (4) dt.22-06-2015 herself made a very specific allegation against the petitioner that she caught her and thereafter her husband set her ablaze, I am not inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Bajpatti P.S. Case No. 02 of 2014 pending in the court of Sri P. K. Jha, Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Pupari at Sitamarhi. This application for anticipatory bail is, accordingly rejected.
