The present application has been filed for modification of the order dated 21.10.2022, passed in Cr. Misc. No.45859 of 2022 to the extent to reduce Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh) which was directed to be deposited in the account of Bihar State Legal Services Authority and also to extend the period of surrender.

Considering the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner, I am not inclined to entertain his prayer for reducing the amount of Rs.2,00,000/- but on the grounds mentioned in the modification application and in the interest of justice, the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.26521 of 2023(3) dt.28-06-2023 2/2 period to surrender (after showing the receipt of deposit of Rupees Two Lakh), is extended by six weeks from today in connection with Samastipur Excise Case No.375 of 2020, pending in the court of learned Excise Court No.2, Samastipur, subject to deposit of Rs.2000/- (Rs. Two Thousand) in the Victim Compensation Fund, Bihar.

The order dated 21.10.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No.45859 of 2022 is modified to the extent as indicated above. Accordingly, this modification application stands disposed of.
