The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents for issuance of rent receipt in favour of the petitioner with regard to the lands bearing Khata No.551, Khesra No.4090/4899 measuring an area of 17 acres 55 decimal falling within Mauza Mathia Morsandi, Thana No.209, P.S. Motipur, District Muzaffarpur.

3. Learned counsel for the State raised preliminary objection before this Court and submits that the original authority for issuance of rent receipt is the Circle Officer under

Patna High Court CWJC No.16954 of 2015(2) dt.29-08-2023 2/2 the provision of Bihar Land Mutation Act, 2011 (Bihar Act 23 of 2011).

4. In this view of the matter, the petitioner is directed to file an application for issuance of rent receipt in requisite proforma with relevant documents before the Circle Officer, Motipur, District Muzaffarpur within four weeks from today. The Circle Officer, Motipur, District Muzaffarpur shall decide the case of petitioner upon hearing all the concerned parties within one month thereafter.

5. With this observation and direction, the present Writ Petition stands disposed off.
