2. The petitioner has prayed for grant of regular bail in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 317(4)(5), 318(4), 338, 336(3) and 3(5) of the BNS.
3. The case of the prosecution, in brief, is that the police received information that at New Royal Motor Works, the engine and chassis numbers of a Scorpio vehicle were being tampered with. Acting on such information, the police reached the garage and, upon inspection, found a Scorpio vehicle without a number plate. Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.25233 of 2026(2) dt.01-05-2026 2/3 fraudulently punch a number on it. The owner of the garage disclosed that one Atul Rehman had sent the vehicle for maintenance.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that the petitioner is a coowner of the garage from where the vehicle was recovered. It is alleged that when the police demanded documents, the garage owner failed to produce valid documents of the vehicle. It is further alleged that Atul Rehman disclosed that the Scorpio had been sent by one Kundan Kumar and one Harsh. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, at best, the allegation against the petitioner is that the vehicle was brought to a garage co-owner by him, and there is no specific allegation of his involvement in the alleged offence. It is also submitted that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court as well as by co-ordinate Benches vide order dated 26.03.2026 and 31.03.2026 in Cr. Misc. Nos. 20148 of 2026 and 19499 of 2026 respectively. Moreover, the petitioner is in judicial custody since 07.01.2026.
5. Learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for regular bail.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Aurangabad Town P.S. Case No. 13 of 2026 on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Aurangabad, Bihar.
