The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 272/273/290 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 47(a) of the Bihar Excise Act, 1915.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the owner of the Tata Magic vehicle which was intercepted and from which alleged recovery was made. It is further submitted that the vehicles are rented out to prospective users and the petitioner has nothing to do what is being carried on the same.
