Learned counsel for the petitioner is expected to honour his undertaking given in the instant case for depositing the requisite court fee and to remove the defects as pointed out by the office when called upon to do so by the office.

The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code and Section

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.24236 of 2020(5) dt.18-11-2021 2/3 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The petitioner is husband of the informant/O.P. No. 2.

The basic accusation is of torture for nonfulfillment of dowry demand. It is submitted by learned counsel for the informant that she is ready to live with her husband in her matrimonial house.

The aforesaid offer of the informant has not been accepted on behalf of the petitioner.

In the circumstance, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. However, if the petitioner surrenders within a period of six weeks and pray for regular bail, learned Court below will consider the bail application of the petitioner, without being prejudiced by the order of this Court.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, the
