2.The instant application for anticipatory bail has been filed by the petitioner apprehending his arrest in connection with Singheshwar P.S. Case No. 236 of 2025 instituted for the offence under Sections 126(2), 352, 351(2), 80 and 3(5) of B.N.S.
3. The case of the prosecution, in short, is that the sister of the informant Gunjan Kumari was married to Shekhar Yadav in the year 2019. It is further alleged that she was subjected to cruelty on account of non-fulfillment of dowry demand of Rs. Five Lakh. It is further alleged that the petitioner along with others has killed the deceased.
4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He has falsely been implicated in this case. He has got no
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23349 of 2026(2) dt.08-05-2026 2/2 criminal antecedent. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is the friend of father-in-law of the deceased. It has further been submitted that petitioner is not the family member and from perusal of order of learned trial Court it will transpire that the cause of death is cardio-respiratory abvelb due to high voltage electrocution. It has further been submitted that in this case, the husband of the deceased is already on bail.
5. Learned APP appearing for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer of bail of the petitioner.
6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and in the facts and circumstances of the case as stated above, this Court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The petitioner is directed to surrender in the Court below within a period of four weeks from today and in the event of his arrest or surrender in connection with Singheshwar P.S. Case No. 236 of 2025, he will be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M., Madhepura, subject to the conditions as laid down under section 482 (2) of the B.N.S.S.
