The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is the husband of the informant. There is allegation of demand of dowry and torture for the same as well as marriage with another lady.

The matter was sent for reconciliation which could not materialize as the petitioner did not appear before the Mediator as per the information supplied by the learned counsel for the informant.

Considering the nature of allegation, in my view, this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9720 of 2017 (4) dt.28-06-2017 2/2 Dhaka Police Station Case No. 318 of 2016 pending in the court of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Sikrahana at Dhaka, district East Champaran.
