2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in the present case registered for the offence under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, petitioner is said to have gone to the house of the informant and stayed there on the third floor along with his wife. In the next morning, the deadbody of the deceased lady was found. The petitioner left the house after killing the deceased.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that deceased lady is not the wife of the petitioner and in fact the wife of the petitioner is alive. Petitioner is in jail since 16.09.2023.

5. Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

6. There is nothing to disbelieve the statement of the landlord in which he says that the petitioner had come with a lady and ask for place to stay and introduced the lady as his wife. Subsequently, she has been found killed, and the petitioner had escaped.

6. Considering the nature of accusation, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this application for regular bail is hereby rejected. (Sandeep Kumar, J) Shishir/- U T
