JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 05-10-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. It is contended on behalf of the petitioner, who happens to be an engineer, that his application for grant of N.P. Bore Revolver/Pistol was refused by the District Magistrate, Patna vide Annexure 1. The aforesaid order was put to challenge by preferring Arms Appeal No.279 of 2013 which was disposed of vide order dated 25.02.2014/22.04.2014, as contained in Annexure 2, remitting back the matter for fresh consideration. However, thereafter, though several representations have been filed by him, a final decision is yet to be taken by the District Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority. Accordingly, this writ application is being disposed of

Patna High Court CWJC No.12752 of 2015 dt.05-10-2015 2 / 2 with a direction to the respondent no.2, the District Magistrate, Patna to take a decision in accordance with law upon the application of the petitioner considering the observations of the appellate authority as well as the decision of this Court rendered in C.W.J.C. No. 18535 of 2011 (Manish Kumar Vrs. State of Bihar) and other analogous cases within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
