Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.P.P. for the State through Video Conferencing. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bihta P.S. Case No.177 of 2020 registered under Section 304(B) read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The accusation is of killing the deceased Munni Devi, the sister of the informant Suraj Thakur, by her husband and other inlaws for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand.
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.21546 of 2020(2) dt.10-07-2020 2/2 Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased. After sometime of marriage of the deceased Munni Devi with Abhishek Kumar, the son of the petitioner, in the year 2018, the petitioner used to reside separate along with her husband due to quarrel in between the deceased and her husband Abhishek Kumar. The petitioner had no concern with the family affair of the deceased Munni Devi and Abhishek Kumar, the husband of the deceased Munni Devi. The petitioner, who is lady, has no criminal antecedent and, in the present case, is in custody since 03.03.2020. Having regard to the facts and the circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-1st Class, Danapur, Patna, in connection with Bihta P.S.
