2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that by order dated 30.10.2024 the matter was referred to the Patna High Court Mediation Center for amicable settlement of the dispute in between both the spouses and in-laws of the O.P. No.2 and thereafter on account of steps taken by the learned Mediator both the parties have arrived at a compromise. As per terms and conditions of the compromise, both the parties ( Manish Kumar Chaudhary @ Manish Kumar,husband of the O.P. No.2, petitioner of Cr. Misc. No.35441 of 2016 and Priyanka Rani, O.P. No.2) have agreed to live separately and the O.P. No.2 has accepted the offer made by petitioner, Manish Kumar Chaudhary @ Manish Kumar to pay a sum of Rs. 7 lakhs as full and final settlement and in compliance of the said proposal the petitioner is ready to pay the said amount of Rs. 7 lakhs by way of two cheques before this court to the learned counsel for the O.P. No.2 and he seeks permission to hand over the two cheques bearing Nos. 967836 and 967837 for Rs. 4 lakhs and 3 lakhs, respectively to the learned counsel for the O.P. No.2.

3. Permission is granted to hand over the said cheques to learned counsel for the O.P. No.2, who has accepted the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35441 of 2016(11) dt.30-01-2025 3/3 aforesaid settlement.

4. It is further submitted that both the parties have agreed to withdraw all the cases which are running against each other in the light of the said compromise. The petitioners' counsel has prayed to quash the entire Complaint Case No. 25547(C) of 2014 filed by the O.P. No.2, in the light of the said compromise.

5. Learned counsel for the O.P. No.2 and learned APP for the State have no objection to the aforesaid prayer.

6. Having considered the aforesaid facts and prayer made by both the spouses, in the interest of justice and in order to bring peace in between both the spouses and other in-laws, who are petitioners here, the entire proceeding having arisen in the light of Complaint Case No. 25547(C) of 2014 against the petitioners of both the cases is hereby quashed. Accordingly, both the petitions stand disposed of.
