The petitioner, who is in custody since 20.03.2020, seeks bail in connection with Madhuban P.S. Case No. 61 of 2020, dated 10.03.2020, instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. It appears that 4092 litres of liquor was recovered from a truck and the petitioner was spotted while he was trying to flee away along with two other persons. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that his name has transpired only on secret information to

The petitioner claims to be a person of clean antecedent.

Considering the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge (Excise) Motihari, East Champaran in connection with Madhuban P.S. Case No. 61 of 2020.

The application stands allowed.
