"1. That the instant writ application is being filed by the petitioner for issuance of an appropriate writ/writs in the nature of mandamus directing/commanding the respondent authority to issue Arms License to the petitioner as early as possible since reports have already been given in favour of the petitioner, but even then the arms license application, vide Arms Case No- 12/2022 is pending in the office of respondents since more than two years."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Saran at Chapra

Patna High Court CWJC No.6103 of 2024(2) dt.01-07-2024 2/2 to dispose off the pending Arms Case No.12 of 2022, which has been initiated pursuant to an application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid case is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off expeditiously.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Saran, at Chapra to dispose off the aforesaid Arms Case No.12 of 2022, in case the same is yet to be disposed off, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance of law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 5.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
